Posted on January 25, 2024 by bella

Samsung is planning to launch a new rugged smartphone in India soon. The company recently released its flagship Galaxy S24 series in the country and has now shifted its focus to other launches.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 could soon arrive in India, and here’s everything you need to know about it, including its specifications.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 To Launch In India Soon
The Samsung India support website has listed a new model, the “SM-G556B”. It is the same model number as the Galaxy XCover 7, which the company launched earlier this month.

The website lists the model number as “SM-G556BZKDINS” with an IN suffix hinting at an India launch soon. Furthermore, Warranty Manuals and Safety Guides are available for the phone.

Moreover, the phone received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in November 2023. It will be the first rugged smartphone in the XCover series from the South Korean giant in India.

However, it is worth noting that the Samsung XCover and Active series are oriented towards business and enterprise users instead of average consumers. It caters to businesses looking for tough and rugged devices with enterprise-level features.

XCover 7 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 features a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ TFT display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the phone has a 20:9 aspect ratio with Gorilla Glass Victus+ for protection.

The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset powers the phone paired with 6GB of RAM. It runs on Android 14 with OneUI 6 on top and has 128GB of internal storage, further expandable via microSD card.

The phone has a 50-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and an LED flash for optics. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie sensor.

The Galaxy XCover 7 packs a 4,050mAh removable battery with 15W wired charging support. It comes with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack for connectivity.

In addition, it comes with IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certification for military-grade protection. There is also a programmable key, Dolby Atmos and Samsung Knox support.
