Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Could Get Car Crash Detection Feature

Samsung is planning to add crash detection to its recently launched Galaxy S24 series. The S24 series includes the Samsung Galaxy S24, Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

All three phones are currently available for purchase in India and could soon receive crash detection similar to iPhones. Here’s everything you need to know about this upcoming feature.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Crash Detection Feature In The Works
According to a report by Android Police, the S24 series will soon get a new Crash Detection feature similar to iPhones and the Google Pixel series. The reference to the feature was seen in the Tasker app, which included a Car Crash Detect Wakeup functionality in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Moreover, the report claims that a system app known as MoccaMobile is also present in OneUI 6.1, which likely contains the code for detecting car crashes. Although, there is no clarity on how this feature will work and when it will arrive on Samsung phones.

But there is a high possibility that the car crash detection could be exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 5, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 since the code was not present on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. This feature will automatically alert emergency services and contacts when detecting a car crash.

The car crash detection feature could arrive with a future OneUI update for Samsung devices. Recently, the company released the OneUI 6.1 with AI features for the S24 series.
