LG Gram Fold Laptop Launched With Foldable Screen

LG has made its foray into the foldable laptop segment with its new LG Gram Fold. It has launched its first folding laptop called the LG Gram Fold, which will rival the likes of HP, ASUS and Lenovo in this segment. The LG Gram series is known for offering thin and lightweight laptops with powerful specifications.

The LG Gram Fold sports a 17-inch Foldable OLED display with a 2560×1920 pixels resolution. When folded, it can become a 12-inch screen with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. This display has DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification with 99.5 per cent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Moreover, the screen supports both touch and pen input so that you can use it according to your needs.

The Intel i5-1335U 13th Gen processor powers the laptop paired with an Intel Iris Xe graphics card. It runs on Windows 11 Home (64-bit) and comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The LG Gram Fold laptop has launched for a price of 4.99 million won (around Rs.3,07,800) with limited quantities available. The laptop will be available at a discounted price of 3.99 million won (around Rs.2,46,115) for the first 200 customers. It will be available in South Korea starting September 25 in all 20 LG Electronics Best Shop stores. In addition, it will also be available online from October 4 on the LG online store.

A new leak has revealed the complete specifications for the Google Pixel 8 series, with the phone’s pricing leaked previously. A leak by tipster Kamila Wojciechowska has revealed the complete specifications of the Pixel 8 series. Starting with the Pixel 8, it will sport a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The phone will come with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Moreover, it has Gorilla Glass Victus and IP68 water and dust resistance.

It will have a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with OIS support. Furthermore, there is a 10.5-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies. The Pixel 8 will pack a 4,575mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging and 18W Qi-Wireless charging. On the connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Apple 2023 product lineup is an iterative upgrade until the company offers better USB-C integration across all products. Gurman claims these interim products will have modest upgrades to keep customers loyal to the Apple ecosystem.

The new Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard will arrive with the USB-C port next month. It will launch along with the iMac next month. The company also plans to launch the standard AirPods with USB-C port next year. Apple has already released the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen with a USB-C port.

Adding the USB-C to the Magic lineup could be an interesting change, as the current models have been criticized for having a lightning port at the bottom. However, there is no information on whether Apple will change the position of the port or not.

Gurman further predicts the AirPods Max will also transition to the USB-C port but does not provide the exact timeline. He also claims accessories like the MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo will return with the USB-C port.

The company is also working on the 10th anniversary Apple Watch, dubbed the “Series X”, with new features and design. It will be the most significant overhaul to the Apple Watch series, with a thinner case and a new way to attach bands. Furthermore, it will also have a blood pressure monitor and AI health coaching service.

Next year, Apple is also planning new iPads with OLED displays, an M3 processor for the MacBook lineup, bigger iPhones, and an Apple GPT AI model. Apple is expected to generate 123.5 billion dollars of revenue during the holiday season.
