Dead phone? On your device there is a hidden function to save it: with two clicks you have solved

Iphone phones are certainly among the best products on the market. But often the battery causes some problems. Here because.

Apple technology is now recognized as one of the most advanced and qualitatively among the best in the world. However, one of the problems that iPhones often experience is excessive battery consumption. It must have happened to everyone to find themselves with a rather low percentage despite the fact that the phone was disconnected from the charge a few hours before. This happens especially when you are out of the house and the phone starts to go blank. Let’s find out why this happens.

Among the reasons that must be highlighted for this phenomenon of exaggerated battery consumption, the main problem lies in the fact that iPhones are constantly looking for wireless networks to be able to operate at their maximum power. A good? More or less, because this constant activity does nothing but suck energy from the mobile phone, which will consume battery and cause the unwanted effect, if there is no Wi-Fi to hook up. In reality, on the one hand, Apple would also like us to save on our private connection, the one that is activated with the various telephone companies. A beautiful intention which, however, has its negative effects but to which there is a remedy.

Does the iPhone consume too much battery? Here’s a trick

Fortunately, there is a way not to make this step mandatory every time we are out of the house, otherwise it would have been really difficult to live with this continuous fishing for Wi-Fi which only weakens our phone.

And in fact, it is possible to make the activation and deactivation of the Wi-Fi connection automatic in such a way as to make our Iphone understand that there is no need to go on a continuous search for a network. All you need is the Quick Commands application on iOS, within which you will need to enable two different automations. First of all, the new setting will cause the automatic switching on of the Wi-Fi in a certain GPS range: this translates into the fact that when we find ourselves within a geographical position, which can be our home or our office, Wi-Fi will automatically be activated. Another shrewdness that will be caused is the automatic shutdown of the Wi-Fi which will take place when you move away from the defined geographical position. With this working, the iPhone battery should start to improve and start to last a little longer than before. If the problem persists, however, it is advisable to rely on a technician or go to a specialized Apple center.

Pixel 7a, here are the first real photos of the not-yet-announced Google baby

Family style, but memory grows and the screen has 90Hz
The shots come from the Vietnamese magazine Zing News, and portray a Pixel 7a that has a lot in common with its older brothers. The horizontal bar that houses the cameras is in fact made of metal instead of glass as for the Pixel 6a, and its thickness seems to be less, probably due to the type of optics and image sensors chosen.

The front of the Pixel 7a doesn’t appear to have strayed from the thick bezels of its predecessor, and the screen could also be the same 6.1-inch OLED made by Samsung.

Before the phone was remotely locked, the Pixel 7a user confirmed the 90Hz screen refresh rate. Zing News also reported that the two rear cameras are 12MP.

n previous rumors there was also talk of a camera with a telephoto lens: a feature that had raised some doubts considering that the Pixel 7 doesn’t have one, and its presence on the cheaper Pixel 7a would have made little sense.

Despite Google’s block, the Pixel 7a was found to have 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM via fastboot access, while the Pixel 6a has 6GB of memory.

Obviously there is the USB-C port and the card tray is single SIM. The Pixel 7a is also expected to stick with the new Tensor G2 processor seen in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

Pixel 7a was leaked in January but few have noticed

The release of Google Pixel 7a is expected this spring. Among the many leaks that have emerged in the last period, an entire photographic set has gone unnoticed and has only recently begun to bounce on the web, dedicated to the Google smartphone.

From what we see in the photo, the aesthetic aspect of the smartphone is almost identical to that of the older brother Google Pixel 7. As we can see from one of the images in the gallery, among other things, the memory allocation will be identical to that of the Pixel 7. There will be 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage memory on the device.

Among the novelties there should be the latest SoC Tensor G2 a 5nm processor which, thanks to the new generation TPU G2, has allowed the Mountain View giant to make progress in the field of machine learning (here we talked about some exclusive features developed by Google for its range of Pixel smartphones equipped with Tensor processors).

The only significant update of the G2 socket concerns the replacement of the two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.25GHz with two A78 at 2.35GHz. On the GPU front, the Tensor G2 has a Mali-G710 MP07 which, despite the lower number of shader cores compared to the Mali-G78 MP20 of the previous model, has a new, more performing architecture.

The new TPU promises a 60% performance increase in machine learning with a 20% reduction in consumption. Regarding the display, the Pixel 7a should mount a 90Hz panel, thus marking Google’s abandonment of 60Hz in this price range.

Pixel 7a will have a lot in common with Pixel 7: images and specifications

The images you find in the gallery below would portray the Pixel 7a live for the first time. We see a smartphone that is practically identical in design to the Pixel 7: the rear camera band has been updated compared to the previous generation, and now it looks the same as that shown by the Pixel 7.

Laterally we see the USB-C port, the speakers, the signs of waterproofing and the side SIM tray. Up front we see the main design difference with the Pixel 7: the display has the same single camera hole in the center, but the edges are more pronounced.

In addition to the live images, we also have the opportunity to have a preview of the technical specifications:

Display: 6.1-inch OLED, 1080p, 90Hz
Processor: Google Tensor G2
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5 (Pixel 6a had 6GB)
Internal storage: 128GB
Rear camera:
Main: 12 megapixels
Wide angle: 12 megapixels
Just about the rear camera there are conflicting opinions from the leakers who have spoken of Pixel 7a: someone claims that the main sensor will shoot at 12 megapixels, just like Pixel 6a, while others indicate that instead there will be a 64 megapixel Sony IMX787 sensor . This would really be a big leap forward, making the Pixel 7a practically equivalent (perhaps too much) to the Pixel 7.

Pixel 7a should be launched before the summer, perhaps at the Google I / O that BigG holds annually in May.

Mobile phones, smartphones and iPhones: the moment of the real revolution

The mobile phone turns forty (to be exact, tomorrow). Indeed, it was March 6, 1983 when the American Motorola launched on the market a bulky – compared to today’s standards, it was 25 centimeters long and weighed 800 grams, while the latest iPhone models are about 13 cm long and weigh less than 200 grams – mobile phone, the DynaTAC 8000X, the progenitor of smartphones that we all cannot do without today (just look at the withdrawal crises of desperate people with empty mobile phones). With its long stiff black antenna, almost a funny plume, it looked like a walkie-talkie. But it had a rich keypad, it allowed for thirty-minute conversations (a great relief on public transport, where today one is plagued by talkative earphones), it could memorize thirty numbers and, left on standby, it took ten hours to fully charge. It cost $3,995 and 300,000 were sold. In the famous 1987 film about financial sharks, “Wall Street” by Oliver Stone, the character of the very bad and very greedy Gordon Gekko, played by a Michael Douglas with his hair smeared with gel as was the norm in that decade, did and he undid his brokers’ careers by issuing orders and sentences from his DynaTAC 8000X. This mobile phone, which has now become a collector’s item for fans of vintage technological gadgets, had had a first incarnation even ten years earlier: in 1973 a working prototype was created by Martin Cooper, an American engineer working for Motorola. Obviously, and as many of the older ones will remember, in 1983 very few owned this mobile phone.

The first cell phone was the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X

And it was revealed to the world on March 6, 1983, that is 40 years ago. It was the first mobile phone in history even if its nickname ”brick phone” or ”brick phone” did not give it the charm it perhaps deserved. The idea was to have a functional but portable telephone and the Motorola Dynatac X8000X somehow addressed this request by actually offering wireless functionality but with some peculiarities that immediately made it uncomfortable: weight, size and cost.

Motorola DynaTAC 8000X – the ancestor of the iPhone

The Motorola DynaTAC 8000X was practically the size of a shoe box but above all it weighed almost a kilogram and cost the beauty of 3,995 dollars which today is practically equivalent to 10,000 euros. However, it was the first real portable mobile phone and in its commercial life it immediately became a status symbol with over 300,000 units sold above all to business customers.

It clearly possessed all unenviable characteristics when compared with current smartphones but in fact it was a real revolution in the field of telephony. Yes, because until then we had always been used to having at most radiotelephones present in cars or even connected to a heavy suitcase that always and in any case had to be carried around.

Smartphone battery, the tricks to increase the autonomy of the device

Apart from the technical specifications, there are some useful tricks that users can take to extend the battery life. One such trick was explained by creator @luigistips on TikTok. If you have an iOS device, just go to Settings, Siri and Search and turn off the four options recommended by Apple. These options are of little use and consume a lot of battery power. Furthermore, always in the Settings, it is possible to activate the optimized charging which allows to extend the life of the battery and to avoid damaging it due to excessive charging.

But how can you extend battery life naturally? Here are some useful tips:

1,Screen Brightness: Dimming your device’s screen is an easy way to save battery. Also, many apps have a dark screen mode that helps save battery power.

2,Turn off notifications: notifications continue to consume the battery of the device even when you are not actively using the application. Turning off notifications for some apps can help extend battery life.

3,Close unused apps: Many apps continue to run in the background even when you’re not actively using them. Closing unused apps can help save battery power.

4,Using Airplane Mode: Airplane mode turns off all device connections, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This can help save battery power when you don’t need an internet connection.

5,Use power saving: Most devices have a power saving mode that turns off some unnecessary functions to extend battery life.

Apple security updates, install them now

Just recently, an update for iOS 16.4 and macOS 13.3 beta 2 was released, which contains many important security fixes. But Apple’s strength isn’t just limited to the security of its products. Users are in fact able to use their devices to carry out many daily activities, thanks to the wide range of apps available on the App Store. Thanks to these applications, you can manage your finances, communicate with friends and family, organize your work and much more.

However, not everyone is aware that even older and dated Apple products can be very valuable. In fact, some of these products have become real collector’s items, sold at exorbitant prices. For example, 500 pieces of the Hanspeter Luzi Vintage Apple Archive went up for auction on March 30, including the 1983 Apple Lisa I, which could sell for as much as $20,000.

In short, the Apple ecosystem is vast and multifaceted. From iPhones to Macs, through iPads and Apple Watches, all products are interconnected through the iOS operating system and its derivatives. But Apple’s strength is not limited to its products: the company is constantly striving to improve the security of its devices and to offer its users an increasingly complete and satisfying user experience. We generally recommend that you always update your Apple device. Especially when it comes to security, as you will be away from any danger or other risk to your data.
