OnePlus 12 Display Details Confirmed Ahead Of Launch

OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 12. The company has revealed details about the display of the OnePlus 12 ahead of the official launch.

The brand will use a new display panel in collaboration with BOE called the X1 OLED. It will use this display in the upcoming OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus Ace 3, which will arrive as the OnePlus 12R globally.

OnePlus 12 Display Specifications Confirmed

The OnePlus 12 display will have a 2K AMOLED screen with LTPO support. This is the first panel from China to receive DisplayMate’s A+ certification. This new X1 panel breaks 18 records on DisplayMate A+, including 9 for display brightness, protection and lifespan.

The OnePlus 12 And Ace 3 uses Oppo’s P1 display chip for high-precision pixel calibration. It improves image quality and ensures high brightness while reducing power consumption. The Oriental panel also utilizes multi-channel load reduction technology to achieve 90 per cent performance improvement and 13 power reduction.

It is also the first 2K panel to achieve 2600 nits of peak brightness, which is the highest for a screen with a 2K resolution. Furthermore, the company claims these panels will last twice as long compared to other displays. It will have a sunlight highlighting algorithm for better visibility outdoors.

The company confirmed the OnePlus 12 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and will have an alert slider on the left.OnePlus also revealed that the Ace 3 will use a 1.5K display with the same 2600 nits of peak brightness. The phone will use the same P1 chip for display calibration.

OnePlus 12 Expected Specifications
The OnePlus 12 will likely have a 6.7-inch BOE X1 OLED display with 2K resolution. The screen will have a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2600 nits.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will power the OnePlus 12 and have up to 24GB of RAM. The phone will run on Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14 and could have up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

For optics, it will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultrawide with a 1/2-inch size. In addition, there is a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom support. The camera is likely to have a Hasselblad branding.

The OnePlus 12 will pack a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. In addition, the phone will have an alert slider, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a new AAC x-axis linear motor for haptics.
