The Leica M11 will apparently be available in a limited edition, and several images have already leaked. The full-frame rangefinder camera appears to be getting a number of small design changes, but Leica won’t be changing the overall look.

According to latest reports from LeicaRumors, Leica is going to unveil a new limited-edition Leica M11 as early as tomorrow, January 22nd. This special release commemorates the 100th anniversary of Leica’s very first 35mm camera and is strictly limited to only 100 units. Early leaked images suggest that the camera is based on the glossy black Leica M11, featuring a “Dubai UAE” inscription on the top and silver instead of black buttons and dials.

The serial number range from 001 to 100 and will be engraved on the hot shoe. Supposedly, this is the first of several limited editions that are planned for 2025. Dedicated special edition cameras are planned for the Chinese and American market. LeicaRumors claims that the camera’s technical specifications are identical to the regular glossy black Leica M11, which retails for $8,955. Therefore, the limited edition lacks the upgrades found in the Leica M11-P, which means that it will come without Adobe Content Credentials support and the larger 256GB flash storage. Despite these omissions, the limited edition is expected to carry a higher price tag. The Leica M11 is one of the few rangefinder cameras on the market. Apart from Leica, the French start-up Pixii is currently the only company producing a digital rangefinder camera.The Leica M11 features a 60-megapixel full-frame sensor that captures up to 4.5 frames per second using either a mechanical or electronic shutter. The 2.95-inch touchscreen has a resolution of 2.3 megapixels. Images can be saved to internal 64GB storage or an SD card. Unfortunately, the Leica M11 does not support video recording.
